A new soap opera at The Emirates.

Apparently the Hallmark channel has signed a deal with AFC to produce a new Soap opera entitled; WESTENDERS starring Arsene Wenger in the lead role as Arsend Wanker, a greying father (who was abandoned by his partner Fruitless Fanz) and now supports his 5 children, Gloomy- the eldest whiner, Doomer – the youngest crybaby, Moaner – the 28 year old infant, Groaner – his twin, Goner – his mentally challenged and severest critic, and finally Faithful his adoring daughter and biggest aficionado.

Supporting characters include Dean David, the erstwhile family menor and Stanley Cranky, the landlord and Arsend’s employer at The Emirates Arsenal. Arsend is the plant manager there and is responsible for preparing the artillery crews for the coming competitions.

Here is a brief preview of the season opener entitled: All is Lost

Arsend enters his posh caravan after a hard day at the office. He is greeted by Faithful who berates him in a cheeky way,¨ Hallo daddy, you’re working too hard and taking on too much!¨ Arsend replies, ¨Zut alors ma cherie, who will do it if I don’t?¨ Instantaneously his 4 other offspring crowd around him and cry, ¨wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we want some new toys, waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, we want new playmates, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you have lost ze plot!¨

Mr.Wanker, alert as always to his children’s needs replies, ¨I ‘ave been working all ze day and night to try and find new toys and playmates zat we can AFFORD but it is not easy in zes recessionary times!¨

The 4 ingrates, totally indifferent to reality and ignorant of anything important chime in, ¨Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, we don’t care if we can’t afford them, you have credit cards, you have a line of credit at the bank, you can take out a second mortgage, you can send Faithful out on the streets with a mattress, you can sell all our toys and playmates, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we want new silver toys and superplaymates that cost wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much, and if we don’t get them we’ll tell Mr. Cranky to fire you, wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!¨

Arsend, being the kind and understanding father that he is, tries to reason with his 4 brats but they refuse to believe him ,despite Faithful’s intercessions. ¨You whiny little cretins, you are so spoilt by our dear father, you forget so quickly what it was like before he took care of us! Stop being so selfish and start helping to set things right!¨ With a powerful kick she sends the Moaner & Groaner twins flying into the broom closet, sticks Gloomer back in his crib and bitch slaps her oldest brother Gloomy back to the stone age. As he flies off in to the distance, we hear a fading wail,¨Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we want a trophyyyyyyyyyyyy……….¨

Arsend, upset at this familial divisiveness, attempts to calm the waters by calling up his mentor and best friend Dean David to seek his sage advice. Mr.David tells Arsend, ¨Stop treating these moronic kids like they deserve any attention or should be listened to. They know nothing and you’re the boss, stick to your guns, do what you think is best, just like you’ve always done…it has worked in the past and will work even better now!¨ Arsend, relieved at hearing such sound advice returns to see his boss Mr.Cranky and is reassured that he and the Executive Committee are totally behind their manager.

However he still has to deal with many broken toys and a few that have been taken out of commission because they were not functioning properly. Faced with having to use 2nd choice or untried artillery against the dreaded Mugmashers, his best efforts reap no rewards as his crew fail to handle this lot and also lose 2 more to toys. He wonders to himself if his luck will ever change!

This is the basic plot and storyline proposed by the Hallmark Channel and scheduled for broadcast in the 2011-12 season. Be sure to stay tuned to this channel for future episodes.

Don, I’m sorry, the club is an absolute train wreck right now…actually no, the morbid scene of a massive train crash would be easier to stomach right now

  2. At the start of the 2007-08 season, Man Unted started the season with two draws and a defeat, but went on to win the Premiership.

  3. Jcal11

Question = why the fuck have you taken all that time to write a load of absolute SHIT !!!! Arsene is going to buy, do you really think that he is not. The guy in my opinion is a fucking genius, and I would take him where he has took us today, than some prick coming in and spending millions on shitty players & leaving us in debt and not making the Champions L for the last 14 years. We would be shit if it was not for Wenger, yes he has his faults but he has done more good than bad. that is a fact, all these so called gunners fans giving the team shit are not supporting us.

  4. real arsenal fan...omg!

    jcal..i agree wid u..and i think don does too!…

  5. GNR4LFE

Total tosh!!! why dont you spend time supporting the team through thick and thin, instead of writing complete bollox!! i bet you ring up that ginger twat durham on talkshite to kiss his arse as well!!! so we sack wenger, get someone else in, team ends up mid table for a few years, where would you be then? most probably supporting Man city, you glory hunting twat!!!

  6. @Jcal11, you should read the article again buddy! Relax, take a deep breath, and read again. 🙂

  7. @GNR4LFE, we’re all in agreement, including Don 🙂

  8. Kevster

Mate how long did you take to write that article that is now a few minutes of my life wasted spent reading that absolute shit,I suppose when you wrote it you thought everyone would find it hilarious well……..nope it’s not so how about writing something positive next time about what arsene has done for us.one more thing for anyone reading this how about you cut out the boos and stop calling for we wengers head because believe me you cunts are ruining our beloved arsenal and if wenger does go then you’ll fucking regret it.

  9. @Kevster, Don is a fan of Wenger, and the article is aimed at the boo boys. I can’t believe I have to explain this!

  10. Jcal11

Scottpuffin: I just have & its still shit, I aint a fucking rocket scientist but I still don’t get it m8. I must be as thick as Wenger “As all u so called fans call him” lol 😉

    Wow.

Lets all post our feelings about an article we havent read properly and understood.

  12. Ash

    Wow, just wow.

  13. nad

I just skimmed through it. Whether for or against Wenger, it was lame. Why can’t someone review the past 2 games and analyse what’s going on and what will happen?

  14. @Nad, probably because we can’t predict the future. Keep the faith though.

  15. Hello again lads and lassies. Scott is right, I wrote this article to mock the moaners and whiners, the naysayers and pessimists, the Wenger haters and Arsenal denigrators, NOT to support any of them. My way of handling a difficult situation like AW and the AFC face is to joke about it, since so many others plastic fanboys criticize and diss Wenger and Arsenal without checking their facts or without being a bit critical when reading or hearing the tabloid shite and media bias directed at our beloved Club. I guess it was too subtle for some of you and for those that did get it, it didnt work all that well so I’ll avoid dark humour in the future. My next article wil try and analyze what is happening at the Emirates in a more introspective and rational manner. Thanks for the feedback but I really do worry about those that took this Sopa Opera blog seriously.

  16. kamran

hay scottpuffin, hope you are doing well friend. well, we sure are up against it , Pat has too be at his best against the italians. and the crew too. one thing they need to know. that they are not giving their effort in a vacume. i fir one will be behind them through thick and thin. ONE LOVE
UP THE GUNS OF MY ARSENAL!!!!

‘If you sell both Fabregas and Nasri, you cannot convince people you are an ambitious club.’
    ????????????

  18. gaiuskaiser

These chessy articals you write are insufferable mate. How about getting serious. These are serious times for all Gooners world wide.

  19. gaiuskaiser………..I think you meant cheesy article but thanks for the compliment. Sorry but I can’t get into the worry mode easily as there is no room available to do so with so many gloomy Gooners whining on the net, but I’ll try and write a more thoughtful article sooner than later.
Ken… what brain medicine are you taking so I’ll know what to avoid? you must have just graduated from kindergarten since you can’t spell, write or compose in English, worth a damn.If you say Wenger is a liar than it must be so since your vast expertise in FIFA Football manager has made you a God (at least in your own inbred, syphilis damaged mind-or what’s left of it). By the way, what basics are you referring to….maybe English syntax and grammar in which you display your brilliance? You are a mental midget of the most pitiful variety so back to your closet, change your diapers and come out when you’ve developed a personality.

  20. Ash

I started the transfer period with a lot of optimism, however as the days have gone by, and lack of much needed signings being the case right now, my optimism has diminished.

I am losing faith in the prospect of success, in fact I don’t think we are a club of success anymore. That’d not to say I Wong still support the club, I think I will just have to reduce myself to the likes of fans from the lesser clubs.

We aren’t in a good place, and I believe say possible signing, even mess himself couldn’t save us right now.

    We are a broken team.

  21. Ash

Sorry for the spelling mistakes, predictive text can be a bitch.

  22. Ash………we are all at the end of our tethers so to speak, as we watch more players leave but you have to remember that in a time of transition like we are going through and with the terrible uncertainty inherent in this transition, one cannot assume anything, especially the following;

1)That Wenger is on his own, without support or resources to set things right,
    2) That he has no clue what to do….he’s been there and done that more times that most of these whining gooners have watched Arsenal play,
    3) That he doesn’t want to win things and is happy with the status quo,
    4) That nothing will happen between now and the close of the window next week,
    5) That our season is over before it has begun or that we are doomed to losing our CL place and our top 4 status,
    6) That the kids we’re watching replace our departed ¨stars¨ aren’t up to the task because they are inexperienced and naive weaklings
    7) That we are so far behind the other top 4 teams that we’re playing catch up now and will do so all season,
    8) That what we have seen so far is destined to be our fare for the next 40 odd games,
    9) That we cannot beat City,United,Chelsea or the Spuds head to head,
    10) And finally, that what we read in the tabloids and hear/see on the media is the absolute truth and always based on proven facts and not vapid rumours.
Therefore your pessimism and loss of faith are sorely misplaced and unfounded. We will see what our manager has in store for us.

  23. Charles Otieno

Forget about the possibility of a new manager spending too much to leave a club in debts. What is the relevance of a club’s debt to a soccer fan?

  24. Ken….you are a vulgar moron who reverts to infantile abuse when you can’t find reasonable arguments to counter intelligent discourse like I offered you. The other unhappy consequence of you exposing your ignorance on this blog by posting such excrement you write, is that it displays your feeble command of the English language and your inability to spell my name correctly, despite it being in front of your addled view.
As far as being up anyone’s ass, your head is fully up your own and has suffocated your brain so that it is now shrunken to the size of a peanut, pretty well matching your other head!
When you can come on this site and actually make some points about the Arsenal in a coherent and rational manner then maybe we’ll take you seriously but your use of capitals to try and castigate me is pitiful, forlorn tabloid-like comedy. I will ask Scott to delete your shit-filled and vitriolic excrement until then.

  25. Scott…do we need to put up with a clown like Ken?

  26. SuperCesc

Don best thing to do is just ignore those kind of comments, don’t give them the time of day, keyboard warriors who sit in the shadows alone in the bedrooms taking the easy route of having a pop at a writer.
If you are so convicted in your beliefs Ken, you could always….write an article?
Some rumblings at the minute around Vertonghen and M’Villa. Got to say i don’t know a great deal about M’Villa but heard he’s a lot like Diarra. Vertonghen is 6ft 2, great in the air and comes highly recommended by the Verminator, which is good enough for me and at £7 Million and £13 Million we still ahve cash left over from the Samir Nasri sale, let only the rest of our tub of loot!
Should go out and add Parker (£7 Million) to that, provides some stability and is the type fo player who can drag a team to a win and is a leader in the middle of the park.
Alex would also be a great defensive buy at £7.5 Million, big, strong player and would mean our centre backs consisting of Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Alex, Djourou, Koscielny…fantastic.
Money will have to be forked out for the creative buy and apperently Arsene is very keen on Eden Hazard but at £25 Million he could prove too much…though i think Arsene just has to bite the bullet here.
I do alos think he might reconsider Bendtner, play him through the middle as a PROPER striker. For me:
    Schez
    Sagna Vertonghen Vermaelen Gibbs
    M’Villa Parker Wilshere
    Hazard Van Persie Gervinho
Strong team, strong bench and cost effective….very cost effective in fact

  27. Right Scott….he is now officially a non-entity blogwise! I like the idea of bringing in Vertonghen and maybe Alex…what a defense we’d have then.
I don’t know about Hazard but M’Vila would definitely be a real catch!
Parker is stable and a winner but he’s a one year solution and AW doesn’t like that type of solution very often. I totally agree about Bendtner. I believe he lacks playing time and is a confidence player, therefore needing to play in his true position as a striker through the middle. I believe we would see a far more positive Arsenal player as he says all he wants to do is play.

  28. Ken has been deleted 🙂

Damn, I didn’t even read past the second paragraph as the sarcasm intended just made me zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…..
Why does every one have to take sides and act like kids in a playground with this tit for tat mentality? How bout you writers, that seem to have some kind of “holier than thou” attitude to anyone that does not share the same opinion as you, stop worrying about moaning fans and start writing inspirational stuff for a change.

Fact is, there are problems at Arsenal football club that are causing this massive anxiety around the club and no matter how important you think your opinion is NOTHING will change how people feel. Unless you guys work for or are at a high place within Arsenal FC/plc? and therefore have inside information as to the clubs BIG plans then please show some respect to the other fans you aren’t any more special than.

I will be at old Trafford on Sunday and i am sincerely scared for us, however, that does not stop me hoping that the boys will come good when we need it. This does not mean i agree with the approach Arsene continues to take after a barren half decade but, quite simply, I support Arsenal and no matter who runs the club i expect us to aim to be the best. It is because we play at the top level why there is no room for excuses and it is also the reason why EVERY fan has a right to moan, groan, cheer, fart and have their opinion respected and not mocked by Eloquently Egotistic bloggers.

    Good day

  30. GunnaFiya………………..maybe you should have read past the second paragraph so you could figure what my intention was.

1)I’m not mocking anyone, just the attitude of incessant gloom and doom that dominated the blogs until tonight’s victory.
    2) This was meant as an acknowledgement of the problems we all see but also as a light-hearted jibe at everyone involved including the AKA and the under 15 crowd.
    3) I don’t take ¨sides¨ since there’s only one side we all sit on and that’s in Arsenal’s corner.
    4) I accept the recognition of my eloquence but refuse the second title as an Egoist….that isn’t true of me at all…I just love tweaking people’s ears like I seem to have done to you.

Stop taking things so personally and begin to realize that we all as you so precisely put it, moan, groan, cheer, fart and have their opinion respected about the Arsenal but in the end we ALL belong to the same family- The Gooners for Life!
